- Are you involved in any activities or programs that help build community resilience, self-reliance, renewable energy or other ideas of Transition?
- Outside of a small amount of home gardening I am not yet involved with the movement, but I would love to know more about it and to get involved in whatever way I can.
- What are your areas of interest?
- Local food security, Renewable energy, Education (Raising Awareness), Local economy/Currency
- Where do you see yourself participating in the growth of the Transition Movement?
- I am used to working in the dirt to produce food, and I love to talk about local self-sufficiency and sustainability issues with anyone who wants to exchange ideas.
- In what areas do you have skills that you would like to share with others?
- home gardening, winemaking, good communication skills.
- Do you have any favorite Transition related media that you'd like others to know about? We are always looking for groups, books, websites, blogs, Podcasts, magazines, etc. that we can share with others.
- I can't say that I know much about the transition movement itself, but I'm involved with Slow Food Saint Louis (I pretty much run the bi-monthly book club), love listening to Living On Earth and the Kunstlercast, and voraciously read anything written by Wendell Berry, Michael Pollan, Alice Waters, Vandana Shiva, and any number of similar writers and thinkers.

Thank you for the welcome, Patrick! I am very excited to be here and my only regret is that I didn't stumble upon this site sooner. So far, I have been educating myself in permaculture for the last three years approximately. I started Missouri Permaculture because I always had trouble finding permaculture information and design techniques as they applied to our temperate climate, so I thought it to be prudent to attempt filling that void. I haven't been as diligent as I could or should have been with the site, but it will be perpetually evolving. It is my hope to see it evolve on the state level and bring permaculture to the consciousness of all Missourians. Now that I am here, I would like to see us all evolve Missouri Permaculture together!
